Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Ani Chamesian is a Speech-Language Pathologist with diverse experience across adult acute care, skilled nursing facilities and home health. At Isaac Health, she provides thoughtful, adaptable care to adults with a range of communication, voice, swallowing and cognitive needs.
Ani brings a person-centered approach to her work, grounded in empathy, curiosity, and a genuine interest in others. She enjoys learning about people’s passions, hobbies, and the unique details of their lives. She recognizes that communication is closely tied to identity and autonomy, and prioritizes helping patients build insight into their strengths and challenges. She encourages reflection and active participation in the therapeutic process, supporting individuals in becoming more independent and ultimately their own “therapist.” Her approach emphasizes practical, real-world application of skills so strategies are meaningful and transferable. Above all, her goal is to help patients build confidence, independence, and engagement in their daily lives through a collaborative and evolving therapeutic process.
Ani was drawn to Isaac Health because of its mission to expand access to high-quality brain health services in a convenient, home-based model. She values efforts that reduce barriers to care and provide specialized cognitive support to individuals who might otherwise go without it. Isaac Health’s model—focused on early identification, comprehensive assessment, and evidence-based intervention—aligns closely with her clinical philosophy and her commitment to improving quality of life for patients and their families.
Through her experience in acute care, skilled nursing facilities, and home health, she has seen gaps in how the healthcare system supports individuals with cognitive deficits, often characterized by fragmented and reactive care that does not fully support long-term function or independence. These experiences have shaped her desire to contribute to a more proactive, coordinated, and patient-centered model of care. Personally, having family members with dementia from a young age provided early insight into the realities of cognitive decline and caregiving, which continues to fuel her passion for supporting individuals and families in maintaining independence, connection, and purpose.
