Dr. Chen Zhao, MD is a behavioral neurologist with training in aging and dementia. She is experienced in treating patients with cognitive impairment an dementia and has a special clinical interest and expertise in patients with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) and primary progressive aphasia (PPA). Dr. Zhao holds an M.D. from the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities and an M.S. in Epidemiology from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health and previously served as Assistant Professor, Department of Neurology, UC Davis Health in Sacramento, CA. Her clinical research focuses on lifestyle protective and risk factors for dementia. She is interested in factors underlying cognitive reserve and resiliency.
