Providers Kristie Figueroa, CCC-SLP, CBIS

She is a certified Brain Injury Specialist who has worked with brain injury survivors across many settings. Figueroa was trained in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment LOUD and VitalStim treatment protocols and adopts a person-centered approach to patient care.

Speech language pathology (SLP) services are a portion of a patient’s experience and journey, and Figueroa tries to provide holistic support, incorporating multi disciplinary collaboration and care when appropriate. She encourages patients to guide treatment by identifying their priorities and preferences, and encourages them to self monitor and advocate for greater independence. Support systems are important in therapy, so she encourages caregivers to participate and learn so they can reinforce recommendations outside of treatment.

Seeking care can be a challenge for many people and their caregivers but having a virtual multi-disciplinary option can significantly improve access to healthcare and quality of life. Isaac Health allows me to serve people who might not otherwise be able to receive care and support for their cognitive concerns.
