Katlyn Salvatore is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has dedicated her career to neurology. Katlyn provides expert, compassionate care to patients and their families while navigating cognitive concerns. Her mission is rooted in a simple but powerful philosophy: providing high-quality neurological support that prioritizes the dignity, comfort, and unique needs of every individual, regardless of their geographic location. Katlyn’s journey into healthcare began in the high-stakes environment of the Neurological Intensive Care Unit. Starting as a technician during her college years, she developed a foundational understanding of the complexities of the human brain and the resilience of the human spirit. After transitioning into a role as a Registered Nurse within the same ICU, Katlyn witnessed firsthand the critical intersections of acute neurological trauma and long-term recovery. These formative years instilled in her a profound sense of empathy and a drive to provide better long-term outcomes for patients facing life-altering diagnoses.
Driven by a desire to take a more central role in patient management and diagnostic strategy, Katlyn earned her Master of Science in Nursing. Knowing that her heart belonged to neurology, she intentionally sought out specialized roles following her graduation. She spent seven years in a comprehensive general neurology practice, balancing the demands of both inpatient hospital rounds and outpatient clinical care. This dual perspective allowed her to see the full spectrum of patient care—from the initial onset of symptoms to the nuances of long-term chronic management. In her current role, Katlyn leverages her extensive clinical background to meet patients where they are. As a Certified Dementia Provider (CDP), she brings a specialized level of expertise to memory care, helping families navigate the complexities of cognitive decline with a steady hand and a caring heart.
Why I joined Isaac Health
I was drawn to Isaac Health because this company solves the most critical issue in neurology: access. After years in the Neuro ICU and general neurology, I saw too many families waiting months for an initial appointment while their loved one’s condition progressed. Isaac Health’s virtual-first, multidisciplinary model changes that. It allows me to provide specialist-level care within days, not months, and it brings that care directly into the patient’s home where they feel most comfortable. I chose to specialize in dementia care because it is one of the most human areas of medicine.
